The Maaya Chords Project
Allow me to introduce my latest feature for AnimeChords: the Maaya Chords Project. Why the dumb name? Well, uh, The Yoko Kanno Project was already taken, so having "The Maaya Project" would be too close for comfort.
Anyway, my objective is to transcribe the chords for (almost) all the songs that Sakamoto Maaya (坂本真綾) has sung, and to have (arguably) the largest collection of her chord tabs on the Internet. So far, I've divided the project into two stages: the first stage will cover the songs from all her albums and solo singles, as listed below; the second stage will try to cover all the other songs that she has had a vocal role in.
Stage 1 should be possible to complete, because I know exactly which songs are in her albums. Stage 2, however, would probably be difficult, because it's hard to find a list of every one of the songs that she has sung in. As such, I don't expect to be able to declare Stage 2 complete, so Stage 1 will be my goal for now.
While I also say that I will try to cover all her songs, some of them may not be chord-able because of their arrangements or other factors, which I will state if required.
The chords will not be made available until I make sufficient progress in Stage 1, then I will release them as they are completed.
So, here we go!
(I do realize that this project has been inactive for an awfully long time. Stuff happens, I guess. Just keep checking, in case)
Stage 1
(forgive the crappy track romanizations - I was too lazy to check the original Japanese track listings)

Questions?
Why Sakamoto Maaya? I mean, [any other singer's name] sings better than her!
Maybe you don't agree, but I like a large majority of her songs. Mainly because she writes lyrics for some of them, and she's been working with Kanno Yoko, like, forever. Because of that, her songs have quite a lot of variety in arrangement, so that makes them challenging to do. Besides, she's also one of the most popular anime theme artists.
[Song name] is not in the list! How can this be a "complete" project?
Other songs that I haven't listed will be done in Stage 2, and if they are not listed then, it probably means I don't know about it. If I'm in Stage 2 (gee, that's looking ahead. O_o) and something's missing, drop me an e-mail and tell me what I'm missing (try to provide information on where the song is from).
When will you make the completed notations available?
When I have a more substantial number, then I will do so. We'll see how it goes.
I have tabs for some of the songs in here. Can I submit them?
I really appreciate the thought... but this project is my personal one, and I'd like to accomplish it myself (gee, how stingy). If you do want to help out, you can make a PayPal donation (it always helps).
This stupid project is years old! When are you actually going to work on it again?
I really wish I had all the time in the world to sit at home and write tabs for everyone, but I do have a life other than sitting in front of the PC (strange as it sounds to some). I'll try when I can, but most of the time I just can't find the mood to do this.
