If AnimeChords has helped you in any way, why not consider a donation?

This site provides budding (or experienced) anime musicians with resources needed to play their favorite anime tunes on piano, guitar, or etc, without having to buy score sheets or learn how to read music notes. There are tabs or notations for many popular anime themes (and some related songs), links to various anime music sites along with other information that you might need for your playing.

Happy New Year! After many years... a site revamp on the way

31 December 2010, 7:06 PM

I know this site has been dead for years, but I kept it online because I supposed at least the 2 of you who still come here can make use of it. But anyway, the good news is that I've been converting the whole site to a proper content management engine over the last couple of weeks and the first phase of it is almost done and will be deployed shortly. Look forward to it in the coming month. Honest.

Stuff you'll see in the new site
* All the chords on the site (well, obviously)
* Search (finally!)
* User accounts - free signup, allows you to comment and access additional content as I add it
* FINALLY: Members will be able to submit chords too!

And various other features I'm working on but won't announce yet otherwise you'll kill me for being slow.

Have a great 2011!

New link for josh's anime sheet music

I was told that josh's anime sheet music went down some time ago, but I didn't know what happened. Anyway, Josh has relocated the site to another link:

It's always my fault, I assure you

I know almost everyone laughs at the fact that I've added staff to the transcriber pool but there have been no updates since. I assure you that it's all entirely my fault. They're all working hard at this, but I'm the bottleneck when it comes to editing and uploading stuff. I'm working on it. No, really.

Last but not least, allow me to introduce our final addition to the staff, Emily Johnson! *cheer* Emily is darn good at this stuff, and she does sheet music too. Yes, that means I will *finally* be adding sheet music to the site as soon as I figure out how to integrate it into the database.

Here's Emily's intro work, a song from Death Note which is quite catchy:
Death Note - the WORLD

On another note, Ironman is awesome.

Plus One

After putting it off for far too long, allow me to *finally* introduce the latest (and probably the last in a long while) transcriber for AnimeChords, Daniel Low! You can read about him in our about page or send him an email from the contact page.

For all the rest who applied but either didn't get further responses from me or didn't qualify, my apologies for that. The whole reason why I'm taking on other people is because I'm busy. Whoops.

Anyway, Daniel's starting us off with one transcription and one more from Yakitate! Japan currently in process. Enjoy!

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi - God Knows

We're not dead!

Here's a minor update for you from Jelmer:

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi - Hare hare yukai

Enjoy, and do the dance!
